Ain’t that the truth!
Another is that not everyone feels inclined to clear it up.
On the surface that might appear to be a negative, but the positive is, you get to discover how much you are or aren’t important or relevant or valued in someone else’s life.
As much as I prefer to clear any misunderstanding up – and it’s funny how often it’s so easy to sort out – these days I tune in to the bigger picture and I generally know when to leave it be. Blessings to the other and total respect for their free will choices.
It’s also a kindness to the other to leave it be if in their reality it’s not even an issue or they are not invested in dissolving it – and especially when they are actually invested in keeping it in place. If it fits well with and reinforces their view of the world and they are attached to it, I ain’t gonna mess with that.
The cosmic joke is that things are not always as they seem and can often be the opposite of what they appear to be…which is certainly the case in the currently unresolved misunderstandings in my world.
The blessing is, I’ve learned to be gentle with myself in such circumstances, and I’m at peace knowing that my heart is kind, my intentions are good, and I’m ready, willing and very able to own and rectify my part in any misunderstanding. We’re all doing the best we can.
