How awesome would it be if everyone utilised it fully? Here’s an add on to the point being made in the graphic…
When we communicate our choices, preferences, boundaries or change of mind with a simple no (or other clear statements for that matter), it is not only a gift to ourselves, but also to those interacting with us who would otherwise be flying blind.
When our needs are not being met or things are off track, it can be so easy to blame or avoid or reject others. How much more honouring it is to ourselves and to those we connect with when we communicate clearly.
The time to most fairly assess how someone responds to us or behaves around us is AFTER we have communicated clearly, not before – a point, in my view, that is not often considered by a majority of people.
Any wonder we get tangled up in the webs we weave.
What else is possible?
